Sense is a national disability charity that supports people with complex communication needs to be understood, connected and valued. We began, and continue, to support people who are deaf-blind. Today, we also support a wide range of people with complex communication needs.

Sense Cymru was launched in Wales in 1993 and covers the whole of Wales.

Sense Cymru provides information and advice, offers a wide range of flexible services and campaigns passionately for the rights of the people we serve. Our specialist services are built around the wishes and needs of the individual, supporting people to be as independent as possible.

TouchBase Wales in Caerphilly offers a place for disabled people with complex communication needs to build connections by developing communication skills and independence, meeting other people, being creative with arts and crafts, music and cookery– all supported by skilled, specialist staff.

Communicator Guides offer support to people who have developed sight and hearing impairments, often as they get older. They enable them to access the community and offer support with day to day activities such as shopping and attending appointments.

Sense Cymru offers support and advice to people of all ages and their families.

For everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here to help people communicate and experience the world. We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
