Beavers (6-8 years old)
Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it's a real adventure for them.
Our Beavers section is currently not meeting as we are recruiting a new Beavers Leader, but we hope to have a new section up and running again soon at Newtown Jubilee Scout Hall. If you would like to talk to us about volunteering to be our new Beavers Leader, please contact us via the link below.
The group is a member of the Scout Association, a worldwide organisation who's aim is to encourage the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people.
Scouts, Cubs and Beavers are required to wear uniform which may be purchased from the Scout Shop.
All members of the Scout Movement are required to adhere to a Scout Promise and a Law reflecting, in language appropriate to the culture and civilization of each National Scout Organization and approved by the World Organization, the principles of Duty to God, Duty to others and Duty to self, and inspired by the Promise and Law conceived by the Founder of the Scout Movement, Baden Powell.
