Hedgehog Helpline offers practical advice and help across South East Wales.
We take in sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs with the intention of returning them to the wild once they are fully recovered and able to survive.
All our advice is aimed at the European Hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) in the UK.
Hedgehogs have now been classified as vulnerable to extinction, now more than ever the work to protect these lovely mammals has never meant more.
Everyone can play a part - from home builders making hedgehog highways, local authorities, the public by ensuring they have hedgehog friendly gardens.
We give illustrated talks about our work and can attend adult or youth groups, including school or any other interested organisation. We do request a small donation for attending.
Hedgehog Helpline is run by volunteers and our resources are limited.
Most of our volunteers have jobs, families and homes to run, but are committed to doing their best to help hedgehogs in need.
