Lighthouse 55+ Housing Support Service — Age Cymru Gwent

Lighthouse 55+ is a housing support service for people aged 55+ who are residents of Newport and are experiencing difficulties of a housing nature.
The service is delivered in partnership between Newport City Council and Age Cymru Gwent. This service is provided free of charge and confidential.

We provide information and person-centred support to assist with your housing issues, such as:
• Crisis intervention for potential eviction or repossession
• Support with housing options — finding alternative and suitable accommodation or homelessness
• Support tackling financial issues and maximising income, e.g. setting payment/repayment plans, budgeting, debt management, and claiming welfare benefits
• Support to deal with various agencies and professionals, e.g. housing providers, council departments, legal services, Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and health services etc.
