Our Baby Steps Parents Group provides a welcoming, supportive space for parents with learning disabilities to come together, share experiences, and build confidence in their parenting journey.
Each month, members take part in relaxed, friendly sessions where they can chat, learn practical skills, and access information about topics like child development, routines, and wellbeing. The group is designed to reduce isolation, helping parents form friendships and feel more connected to their community.
Through fun activities, discussions, and peer support, parents are encouraged to celebrate their strengths and gain the confidence to take “baby steps” toward achieving their personal goals. The group also works closely with other local services to ensure parents can access the support they need.
Our aim is for every parent to leave feeling listened to, supported, and proud of the progress they’re making — both as individuals and as families.
