Compassionate Penarth is a group of local people and organisations who want the residents of Penarth and the surrounding areas to know they are not alone at some of the most difficult times in their lives.
We support people to be more comfortable talking about frailty, terminal illness, end of life care, death, dying, and bereavement. When people feel more comfortable talking about these significant experiences, they are more able to get the support they need and are better equipped to support others.
We provide online signposting to resources, advice and information.
We offer talks to community groups and organisations to raise awareness of how we can be better prepared, what support is available and how we can support one another.
We organise and participate in events to encourage learning and open discussion around these significant stages of life which are too often seen as taboo.
