Côr Afon Lwyd is a small community choir who sing only in Welsh. We practice in a Welsh language school in Pontypool and we provide an opportunity for Welsh learners to use their Welsh outside the classroom.
We support Welsh language events in the Pontypool and Torfaen areas by performing at public events, Welsh language services (Cwmanfa Ganu) and Welsh New Year celebrations (Mari Lwyd). We competed in the 2018 National Eisteddfod in Cardiff Bay and sang at the Caerleon Festival 2019.
We run a stall at school events such as the school summer fair and take part in community events like Party in the Park. These are events where we help to support the event and try to encourage people to join us.
