Free fresh and chilled surplus food from local supermarkets for people experiencing financial hardship (even if temporary). Bring own bags and egg boxes. An opportunity to donate 50p per carrier bag of food to help support food transport costs. Service is run by volunteers and opportunities are available for people to offer their free services to help with collecting and sorting food, recycling packaging, assisting with cooking meals from surplus food to freeze for the community, community composting and gardening, marketing the service, community consultation and more.
