Pembrokeshire People First (PPF) is an independent, member-led charity based in Haverfordwest. We support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to be heard, feel included and live more independent, confident lives.
Our organisation is led by the people we support. Many of our staff, volunteers and trustees have lived experience of learning disability or autism. Every two years, our members write a manifesto that sets our direction. This ensures our work stays focused on what really matters to those we support.
PPF delivers a range of projects that support personal growth, independence and community involvement. We promote rights, wellbeing, inclusion and meaningful choice. Our work is person-centred and strengths-based, helping people build on what they can do - not just manage what they can’t.
We work closely with local partners, services and professionals to improve awareness, reduce barriers and make systems more accessible. Our shared values - dignity, compassion, fairness and collaboration guide everything we do.
Together, we are helping to build a Pembrokeshire where people with learning disabilities and/or autism are not only included, but truly involved in shaping their lives and the world around them.
