Friends of Clydach Heritage Centre

Lleoliad

The City and County of Swansea Culture and Tourism Department secured funding through the Valleys Regional Park initiative to restore the old Canal Museum in Coed Gwilym Park Clydach. Combined with a contribution from the City & County of Swansea this amounted to £45000 worth of funding available to redevelop the building as ”The Clydach Heritage Centre”.

WHY WE'RE SETUP...
Volunteers have set up a ‘Friends of Clydach Heritage Centre’ to preserve and promote local heritage for future generations and are looking for more members to join them and, if they can spare a few hours, help staff the new building. Members will be invited to attend talks on the heritage of the Clydach area to help them give information about the local area to visitors of the Park. There will also be training sessions provided by the Valleys Regional Park and Swansea Council for Voluntary Services
