KCCLP manages the site of the former Knucklas Castle, surrounding woodlands, a community orchard and community allotments. It organises regular events - cultural, educational, historical and enjoyable - to which all are welcome. It is seeking to raise sufficient funds to buy the lands that it manages in order to safeguard their permanent public use and enjoyment.
KCCLP aspirations include:
– a local, sustainable future for all where we will nurture our precious resources, adjust our ways of living, listen, and learn from the experiences of our elders;
– a new beginning for our youth, practical re-skilling, learning through nature, play and co-operation;
– a legacy that will increase resilience to withstand global and local shocks brought about by fluctuating markets, energy prices and climate change.
